SYMPTOM
• Under certain dark viewing conditions the setting may cause the screen to exhibit a slight uneven uniformity
(White Mura / TV Clouding), especially when the screen is blank without video source. In the example below
the setting is AV input without signal.
• The symptom is not normally visible under typical viewing conditions such as watching movies or television
programmes.
SOLUTION
• To achieve a high level of performance and picture clarity, Sony utilizes a very bright backlight setting. This
helps deliver the brightest picture possible, as well as exceptional picture clarity even with the darkest image
sources.
• In order to minimize the symptom described, it is recommended to adjust the TV settings to the below
condition.
* Settings => Set-up => Light Sensor: ON
* Settings => Set-up => Power Saving: Low or High
* Settings => Picture => Reduce Backlight Level to “Standard” or “Cinema mode” (Factory Setting = “MAX”)
