Serial Number / Model Name Writing Support [REVISION 1] 1721
SYMPTOM
No serial number and model name after board exchange.
CAUSE
Generic serial number for service.
SOLUTION
Write the applicable serial number to the NVM by TL3 jig. The serial number address in the NVM consists of 4 to 22
bytes in hexadecimal format depending on the chassis.
1. Run the "CODE2.EXE" file attached to this Technical Bulletin.
2. Make sure that the COM port baud rate is set to the value below, depending on the chassis.
Chassis Baud rate
EG-1L, EG-1L_100Hz, EG-1L_200Hz, EG-1LL, EG-1W (Media Box) 38400
EG-1H, EG-1W (Monitor) 115200
3. Open the "Analyzer" window ([MENU] => [TOOLS] => [ANALYZER]).
4. Calculate the ECS command via OPTION 1 or OPTION 2.
5. Check the [Add Check Sum] box.
6. Refer to the tables on the next pages to determine the (ASCII) hexadecimal code. Depending on the chassis, the
serial number or both the serial number and model name can be used.
