Subject: Squeal noise from Tuner [REVISION 1]
SYMPTOM
Squeal noise (1kHz) may be audible.
CAUSE
Under no load condition (No LNB connected to the sat Tuner), the DiSEqC power IC falls into an intermittent
oscillation state causing mechanical vibration noise in three capacitors.
SOLUTION
Change the three 10 μF film capacitors (C1005, C1006, C1008) indicated in the table below and refer to the picture
for the capacitor location.

NOTE: After replacing the capacitors, put a check mark (“V”) next to the part number label on the main board, to
indicate a repair has been made. No other component repair is required/allowed. If above procedure fails, replace
the entire main board.
