Subject: issues with KPN interactive set top box.
Note: Main board or AEP event is not allowed.
SYMPTOM
TV blocked, black screen, no picture, no sound when connect KPN decoder ( KPN Motorola VIP1853 ) with HDMI
cable to the MHL HDMI input of the TV.
CAUSE
HDMI EDID data not compatible.
SOLUTION
Use a non MHL HDMI input of your TV.
For 4K TV use port 1, 3 or 4
For 2K TV use port 2, 3 or 4
Or
Contact KPN to exchange the decoder with a compatible decoder (Arcadyan (HMB2260)).
