Symptom
TV does not respond to the RC, or volume bar suddenly appears on the screen.
Cure
MANDATORY:
For all related TV-sets that come into a workshop, it is mandatory to execute action(s) below.
INFO:
It may also have other symptoms as below:
- Volume suddenly increases or decreases by itself while watching TV.
- Local keyboard not working properly.
- Set stuck in "Virgin" mode.
CURE:
Replace IR cable 8M20. The new IR cable must have a black dot on the connector (see figure 1 below).
