Cable connecting MRU and display
Symptoms / Customer Description
Customer has unit install on a wall and their cable connecting the media receiver unit and the plasma display has been professionally installed into the wall. How can I service the unit?

Solution
It is the customers responsibility to put the TV into a serviceable position. If they installed it on a wall, ceiling, or other hard to reach area the customer will need to get the set into a position that is safe and workable for the tech. For the case where the customer has their cable embedded into the wall or bundled such that it will not allow the technician to connect the two pieces together the technician can take a long an extra cable to connect the two units together. Part number 1-824-831-11 is the standard 3 -meter cable that comes with the unit.
Another possible solution would be to verify the problem prior to removing the TV from its mounted location and then have the customer place it in a serviceable position. Replace the suspected board and then have them re-install the unit to verify that it has been fixed.
One additional note, most custom installs are using a special, longer version of the cable that connects the MRU and display section. For cases of this nature the technician should ask the customer if they have the 3-meter cable that came with the unit so they can use it for troubleshooting.
