Comparison LCD to OLED LED_R (16) of Micro
POWER_OFF_BY_INV_ERROR (Cracked or Burnt Panel):
Indicates “Burn” has been detected. Possible cause, the Ribbon cables from the T-CON to the Panel are disconnected or loose.
Defective Panel, cracked or cells burnt.
Power Off History will look like the following;
POWER_OFF_BY_INV_ERROR
POWER_OFF_BY_20V_DETECT (Panel *20V/24V is loaded down):
Indicates “Panel Voltage 20V / 24V” is missing. This can happen if SMPS or T-CON connector is unseated. This can happen if the 20V line is loaded down. In
EA models the 20V is sensed by a Power_Det IC. A sample of the 20V is routed back to the Main via the normal Power connector. In EC/EA there is a direct line
that is sensed coming from the T-CON to the Main via the LVDS (Vx1) Cable.
Power Off History will look like the following;
POWER_OFF_BY_AC_DET
POWER _OFF_BY_20V_DETECT
Note: History screen will not show a Turn-On for this failure, because it turns off almost immediately.
POWER_OFF_BY_20V_DETECT (Power Off because AC Power disappears During Run):
Indicates a loss of “AC”. Because the 20V/24V to the T-CON (used by the Panel) drops faster and is detected quicker than the 3.5V which is monitored for
AC_DET.
Power Off History will look like the following;
POWER _OFF_BY_20V_DETECT
POWER_OFF_BY_AC_DETECT (Twice) (Power Off because AC Power disappears During Compensation):
If the AC Power is lost while the TV is performing Compensation, it will log AC_DET twice.
Power Off History will look like the following;
POWER_OFF_BY_AC_DET
POWER_OFF_BY_AC_DET
POWER_OFF_BY_COMP_END (Compensation Completed): In-Start Last Compensation UTT records UTT. Count increments by 1. Interval Setting 4.
Indicates “Compensation” has run and completed successfully.
Compensations can run in two ways;
(1) AUTO: After 4 hours of consecutive viewing. Happens immediately after Power Off.
(2) FORCED: Can happen in two modes;
STORE MODE: Happens immediately after Power Off. If AC is removed in Store Mode while the unit is “On”, when AC is reapplied, after about 90 seconds a
Pop-Up window will appear notifying the viewer that the TV is about to Shut-Off so that Panel Noise can be removed from the Panel. The TV shuts-off
automatically, Compensation is run and then the TV Turns back on.
HOME MODE: Change Compensation Interval from 4 to 0. Power Off, Compensation Runs. After 90 seconds, Power On and change Interval back to 4.
Power Off History will look like the following;
POWER_OFF_BY_COMP_END
Note: During Compensation, the Power Supply voltages all remain active. 20V/24V to the T-CON and 12V, 24V and 3.5V to the Main.
POWER_OFF_BY_OLED_COMP_FAIL (Compensation Did Not Complete):
Indicates “Compensation” did not complete successfully. This can happen if the customer turns the unit on before Compensation completed.
Power Off History will look like the following;
POWER_OFF_BY_OLED_COMP_FAIL
*EA Models us 20V to the T-CON
EC/EG Models use 24V to the T-CON
