reported that the inside of LCD panel and optical sheets became dirty with chlorine and this
dirt caused some dark shadow to appear on the screen. To avoid the occurrence of this this,
improvement in the sealing of the LCD panel has been implemented in the units produced
from the serial numbers below.

Servicing If customer complain of this case in the units produced prior to the serial number above,
please take the following steps to seal the LCD panel.
1. Remove the major parts, referring to the page 12 to 15 of service manual(REMOVING
OF MAJOR PARTS).
2. Remove the Reflection panel, too.
3. Wipe off the chlorine which stuck to the inside of LCD panel and optical sheets, using a
tightly wrung cloth dampened with a purified water. Wipe off the dirt which stuck to the
inside of back cabinet, too.
4. Stick the 4 spacers(PSPAZA526WJZZ 2pcs and PSPAZA527WJZZ 2pcs) to the die-cast
chassis flame as shown in the figure 1 of this technical report.
5. Stick the commercially available electrical insulation tape*1 at 27 position of the inside of
bezel as shown in the figure 2 of this technical report.

6. Assemble the removed major parts in reverse order of removing. Before installing the
LCD panel, stick the 4 spacers(PSPAZA528WJZZ 2pcs and PSPAZA529WJZZ 2pcs) to
the die-cast chassis frame as shown in the figure 3 of this technical report.
In case of the model LC-37AA1H, stick the spacers as shown in the figure 4 of this
technical report.
7. Assemble the unit completely.
