SUBJECT: Service Mode Adjustment Information for Digital Board
Replacement
DLP units that offer 1080p display resolution include an extra service
menu option that can be used to expedite repairs. These units store the
service mode values in two locations, the Digital board and the DMD
Board. If you are replacing the Digital board, you can retrieve the
service mode values from the DMD Board. The procedure is accessed
under the option sub menu in service mode, see Figures 1 and 2.
Step 1- Access Service Mode by pressing Mute – 1 – 8 – 2 then Power
on the remote with the unit in standby mode
Step 2 - Access Option then select DMD => Digital.
Step 3 – Press the right arrow button then Enter. This transfers the
service mode values from the DMD board to the digital board.
Step 4 – Exit service mode by powering off the unit. Power the unit
back on and check for proper operation in all input modes.
