SUBJECT: Identify the correct SMPS connection according to Panel vendor
when changing the Power Supply PCB.
BACKGROUND: There can be up to 3 different LCD panel types used in the
models listed in this bulletin. There are 2 connections used on the SMPS to Panel
varying according to vendor type: AMLCD (Samsung), AUO (AU OPTRONICS),
CMI (CHIMEI).
SYMPTOM: If the Panel wire harness is not connected to the proper connector on
the Power Supply PCB one of the following may occur.
1. Brightness control of the panel will fluctuate causing picture to flash
2. Picture Mode, Energy Saver and White Balance Adjustment will not be
correct
REPAIR: In order to identify the kind of panel (vendor) that is used in the TV, there
is a letter mark indication on the Rating Label. See figure 1.
