SUBJECT: LCD TV does not turn on or operate properly after replacing Main
PCB.
SYMPTOM: When replacing the Main PCB the Option Byte must be set properly to
match the Panel version of the unit. There is a possibility of 12 different panels that can be
used in the unit. Failure to set the Option Byte setting properly will result in the TV not
operating correctly, or even some cases the unit may not power on.
REPAIR:
1. Determine the panel maker. The letter by the model number on the back label
corresponds to the appropriate panel maker. See table 1 below. Also note the version
number on the side label can be used to identify the panel too.
