SUBJECT: Poor picture quality after replacing the panel or main board
SYMPTOM: After replacing the main board or panel, where the panel BN07-00446A is used as an
alternate for BN07-00366A, reduced picture quality may be encountered if the option bytes are not
correctly set.
REPAIR: When part number BN07-00446A is used as an alternate panel for part number BN07-
00366A, or when the main board is replaced, the “Panel Option” and “Gamma” settings (labeled red
in the tables below) need to be change in the “Option bytes” menu to match the panel name
installed. If the correct “Panel Option” is not listed in the TV’s option byte list; download the latest
software from GSPN and update the TV to 1031 or higher.
