Samsung has recently suggested a firmware update to customers that
have purchased the LN40A650A1F, LN46A650A1F, and LN52A650A1F.
If you are contacted by a Samsung customer to perform a firmware
update for any reason, refer them to the website below for instructions
on how to update their firmware or to call 1-800-Samsung. Warranty
claims for firmware adjustment only will not be accepted unless
previously approved by either the Customer Care Center (supplying a
transaction number), or your Regional Service Engineer (approving an
existing service ticket).
However, the firmware version should always be confirmed and updated
during normal service repairs. Refer to GSPN for service bulletin on
firmware version and update instructions. Also, please note in any case
Samsung will pay only one warranty claim for firmware update per serial
number.
