Subject: No or intermittently no picture, green LED ON. [REVISION 1]
SYMPTOM
TV turns on (green power LED is on) but there is no picture.
Screen goes black intermittently while using TV.
CAUSE
Defective IC6016 on Main Board.
SOLUTION
Check output voltage on IC6016. Like illustrated below. If voltage is lower than 1.0V, replace IC6016 or MainBoard.
- Locate IC6016 on mainboard (regulator with marking 9116x)
- Make sure the TV is turned ON. (In Stand-By there is no voltage at IC6016)
- Check the voltage on output pin 5. Need to be between 1.09V and 1.1V.
- If output at pin 5 is lower than 1.0V, replace IC6016 or mainboard with P.N. like mentioned below or in the Service Manual.
