Subject: Half Picture Solarization (AX43) [Revision 0]
SYMPTOM
Customer report half picture solarized when the TV is in cold condition. Issue should be gone as soon as the TV set reaches operation temperature. See example pictures below.
CAUSE
Certain affected panels cause this behaviour.
SOLUTION
Do not replace any parts like mainboard, T-CON or FFC. The issue is strictly related to specific panels. Sony is working on a software solution to improve affected models. Until a software update is available resolving this issue the set will need to be exchanged (AEP or DOA depending on the situation).
