Subject: Factory Data Reset by Unit Key [REVISION1].
SYMPTOM
Introduction of Factory Data Reset procedure by unit key with SW 3.843 or later.
When the TV cannot turn on correctly, please try this recovery method before replacing main board.
Recover the TV by reset of data and cache area by Unit key operation
To initialize the TV completely, it is also necessary to execute the Factory Data Reset by User Interface operation after resetting by unit key operation.
SOLUTION
1. Unplug the power cable from the outlet.
2. Press and hold down both the “POWER” and “VOL-” keys located on the TV. (Press down softly the “VOL-” key. Pressing firmly may cause the process to be interrupted.)
3. Plug the power cable back in the outlet (while holding down both the “POWER” and “VOL-”).

4. LED of the smart core will light in green for several seconds.
[Estimated time: 10 sec]
5. TV reboots itself.
[Estimated time: 15 sec]
6. Clear part of user data (data/cache). TV displays the following screen during the data deleting.
GN1G/GN1T: Black screen
GN2SK: Android display
[Est. time: 30 sec]
7. TV reboot itself and show initial setup screen. (= recover of TV)
Note: if the TV does not reboot and show initial setup screen by itself, repeat the previous steps.
8. Operate Initial Setup. (need Factory Data Reset like explained in next step. So this setting value is not so important.) (Network settings, channel scan, … is not needed to reduce the operation time.)
9. Execute ‘Factory Data Reset’ in Home menu ( HOME / Settings / TV / Storage&reset / Factory data reset / Erase everything)
To recover the TV completely, This “Factory Data Reset” operation must be executed.
10. TV will restart by ‘Factory Data Reset’.
