Application: The information contained in this bulletin applies only if you encounter the
symptom(s) listed below.
Subject: Top Case Standoff Can Cause No Green LED or Solid Green Status LED
Symptom.
Symptom: The "no light with solid green status LED" symptom occurs when a standoff
on the top case dislodges a resistor on the controller ECA. The standoff is
one of three that align the keypad in the top case. Close tolerance between
the top case and the controller ECA results in the standoff coming into
contact with resistor R697. Toshiba has improved the top case design to
shorten the standoff and eliminate the symptom.
Corrective Action: Follow the appropriate instructions below. Refer to the online
product service information as required to complete the steps.
Check any TDP-MT8U projector following the instructions below,
even if the projector requires service for a different reason.
Projectors that exhibit the "no light with solid green status LED"
symptom.
