Subject: GR1VH APH/AX/AR Improved CI+ module (CAM) signal stability MB [Revision 2]
SYMPTOM
Specific mainboards have low internal signal quality in the communication lines between main IC and CI+ module (CAM card), causing issues in overall TV experience like macro block noise (34A).
CAUSE
Internal signal quality issue due to board characteristics.
SOLUTION
Sony has created a new mainboard revision for the models listed in the header. This board will improve the internal signal stability between mainboard and CI+ module (CAM Card). In case of customer using CI+ module (CAM card), please use the improved MB. For customers not using a CI+ module (CAM Card), the original board mentioned in the Service Manual (or equivalent supplied from parts warehouse) can be used without issues, as the benefits from the improvement are only valid when CI+ module (CAM card) is in use. Refer to below table for improved part numbers.
