Unstable Picture With Vertical Sync Jumps 234X
SYMPTOM
Depending on the power supply tolerances of the G Board, the following problems may occur within twenty
seconds after a cold start (discharged mains block capacitors). This is clearly shown in the Error Menu by IC
UDA1380 increasing the error counter.
• Unstable picture with vertical sync jumps (ever 0.3 sec) during the first twenty seconds. After that the picture
recovers itself.
• No audio, even after switching channels or increasing the volume. This problem can be solved by switching
OFF/ON or to Standby.
• The SCART video outputs are muted during the first twenty seconds. After that the picture recovers itself.
SOLUTION
Replace the SMD capacitor C8670 on the A1 Board with any of the discrete capacitors listed below.
