SYMPTOM
• Incorrect SECAM synchronization on the following channels:
* TF1 = C59 (UHF L) from the local cable television company "Cannes CATV Network LCI" in Southern France.
* NTV = C02 and STOLITSA = C10 from a local broadcaster in Moscow, depending on the antenna signal condition.
• Vertically shifted picture.
SOLUTION
1. If the number of the A Board ends in -16 or below, add a "Res., Chip 1MOhm 1/10W" (1-216-121-00) from IC3801 pin 2 to GND as indicated below.
• Connect one leg of the 1MOhm resistor to that side of C3826 that is connected to IC3801 pin 2.
• Connect the other leg to GND on the A Board. If the GND connection shown below is difficult to reach, use a neighbouring GND connection.
