One or Several Vertical Lines on Left-hand Side of Screen

SYMPTOM
One or several black vertical lines may appear on the left-hand side of the screen.
CAUSE
Heat may cause cracks in the soldering portion of some connectors on the two Data Relay Boards of the Display Unit (PDM-4200) so that contact is being made with the insulation plate of the heat sink.
SOLUTION
Replace the two Data Relay Boards and the Heat Sink of the Display Unit (PDM-4200) as explained in the attached document "heatsink_repair.pdf". The necessary parts are supplied as a "Service Kit" (9-885-036-21).
