Power-on Problems [REVISION 3] H111
SYMPTOM
• No start-up from Standby (recoverable by power on/off).
• Blocking set with no picture and no sound.
• Clicking relay in Standby mode.
• After several hours in the Standby mode, the unit cannot be powered on any more, neither by the remote
control nor by the mains switch (not recoverable at all).
CAUSE
When the unit tries to update a new digital service in case the digital signal is very weak due to poor antenna
reception, the digital software enters a non-ending loop, stopping the main microprocessor operation.
SOLUTION
In case the set is recoverable (can be turned on)
• Enter [User Menu] => [Set-up] => [Digital Set-up] => [Technical Set-up], and disable the option [Auto Service
Update].
• Rescan (autotune) the set to remove invalid services.
