Software Upgrading Procedure for WAX-2(C)T Chassis [REVISION 2]
SYMPTOM
This Technical Bulletin describes the software upgrading procedure using a Memory Stick.
SOLUTION
Memory Stick Preparation
Use an ordinary Memory Stick (4M, 8M, 16M, 128M, etc.) with low access. Do not use fast access types such
as Memory Stick Pro, Magic Gate, etc.
Format the Memory Stick using a formatter, the program available on the Sony Europe site
http://support.sonyeurope.
com/memstick/downloads/downloads_ms.asp?l=en&f=MSFRM, or a digital camera (recommended).
Do not use the Windows formatter.
After formatting, the Memory Stick should only contain the file "Memstick.ind".
Update Procedure
Unzip the "PKGxxxxE_N_ADJ.zip" file attached to Technical Bulletin 06TV171. Separate folders will be
created for the six panel sizes, viz. TM****_TH****_TS****_TD****_S32, TM****_TH****_TS****_TD****_S40,
TM****_TH****_TS****_TD****_S46, TM****_TH****_TS****_TD****_V32, TM****_TH****_TS****_TD****_V40,
and TM****_TH****_TS****_TD****_V46. Each will contain the subfolder "wax2_mheg".
Copy the complete "wax2_mheg" subfolder to the root of the formatted Memory Stick.
Insert the Memory Stick into the set.
