Software Upgrading Procedure for WAX-3F/3H Chassis [REVISION 4]
SYMPTOM
This Technical Bulletin describes the software upgrade procedure for the WAX-3F and WAX-3H chassis.
SOLUTION
1. Memory Stick Preparation
* Remove all unnecessary files from the Memory Stick before copying data.
* Always use a Memory Stick formatter. Windows formatters are not supported.
* On
http://support.sony-europe.com/memstick/downloads/downloads_ms.asp?l=en&f=MSFRM#disca special format program is available. However, a digital camera (Sony DSC model) is to be preferred.
* The file “Memstick.ind” will be written to the Memory Stick.
2. Upgrade Procedure
2-1. Unzip the applicable “PKGxxxx_F_DVT_32M_ADJ.ZIP” file attached to TB 08TV017 (WAX-3F) or
TB 07TV051 (WAX-3H). A folder “PKGxxxx_F_DVT_32M_ADJ*” will be created containing the folder “wax3”.
IMPORTANT NOTE for WAX-3F Chassis
Make sure only to use SW packages for regular use (with “ADJ” in de file name).

NOTE: The “PKGxxxx_F*.ZIP” file contains the download images. Each image consists of the following software
data: TVM, PACK, NVM of TVM, DIGITAL F/E. A mask is included to avoid the adjusted values being overwritten.
2-2. Copy the entire “wax3” folder into the root of your MS, as follows: “F:\wax3”.
2-3. Insert the MS into the slot on the TV back. Make sure to set the printed label towards the panel (front side).
