Colour Noise in Certain Grey Tones [REVISION 2] G439
SYMPTOM
• Noisy greenish or purple shadows may become visible in some grey tones.
• Specific settings and sources (DVDs or TV programmes with very grey or dark scenes) may enhance the
phenomenon.
CAUSE
Dispersed gamma adjustment.
SOLUTION
Follow the procedure below to use fixed gamma data, disabling the “LGAMMA” register.
1. Update to the latest software version, installing the software attached to Technical Bulletin 07TV085R*, and
following the procedure described in TB 07TV086.
2. Enter the Service Menu by subsequently pressing [i+] → [5] → [Vol+] → [Power] in standby mode on the remote
commander.
