SYMPTOM
No recognition of the panel specification via HDMI connection or D-Sub 15 connection. As a result, no picture may
appear, or the screen may be in lowest screen resolution.
CAUSE
Empty EDID NVM.
SOLUTION
Follow the instructions below to read and write the EDID NVM data.
1. Data handling between TV, I2C device and NVM via TRACE
1-1. Open the Assist menu. Under [Local] select [Trace – Direct memory].
1-2. By double-clicking the tab, a new window will pop up, giving an overview of all possible NVM types handled by
TRACE.
1-3. All currently used memories to store EDID data are “X24C02”. Select this type from the list, and continue with
the procedure. In case of a stand-alone system, go to 1-4.
1-4. If still using a stand-alone system, it is necessary to select Memory “X24C02” and push the [Data Handling]
button.
