Software Upgrading Procedure for SE-2AG Chassis [REVISION 1]
SYMPTOM
The software upgrading procedure for the SE-2AG chassis is indicated below. Executing this procedure may be
needed when, amongst others, replacing the BC1 board.
SOLUTION
1. Memory Stick formatting
All micros can be updated via Memory Stick. All MS formats (Normal, Pro) are accepted, but compatibility problems
could arise with some types or size.
• Remove unnecessary files from the Micro Stick before copying files.
• Use a memory stick formatter to format. Windows formatters are not supported. A special program can be
downloaded from:
http://support.sony-europe.com/memstick/downloads/downloads_ms.asp?l=en&f=MSFRM#disc.
2. Update of TVM & Digital data
2-1. Unzip the update file (se2ag_pkg_xxx_memorystick.zip) attached to Technical Bulletin 08TV087, and copy the
complete WAX3 folder to the Micro Stick. In case the panel size is 32 inch, also refer to Technical Bulletin 08TV092
for a note on the panel type.
2-2. Switch off the TV using the [Power] button.
2-3. Insert the Memory Stick into the slot on the TV back. Be sure to set the printed label of the MS towards the
front panel.
