Caution when Updating Software
SYMPTOM
In one particular production lot, the NVM data of 40W4500/4730 and KDL-46W4500 have been accidentally
swapped (all other user information, such as the combi label or carton box is correct). This may cause the following
problems.
• To the user: He may detect a wrong inch size in the product information menu.
• To service: In case of a software upgrade, when inputting the correct MS software version linked to the correct
panel size, the main micro will ignore the MS due to a model name mismatching.
SOLUTION
If the symptom occurs, proceed as outlined below.
1. If the serial number of the set is within the range below, apply the correct TT number.

2. Apply the new SW version via the normal MS update procedure.
3. Check the White Balance level in “Cool” condition, since the adjustment data will have been reset to default.
