IC 7905 Reversed Polarity 221A
SYMPTOM
• No symptom may appear at all, or
• Because of problems with the IC7905 output regulator, the digital tuner voltage (NORMAL = 2.5 V) may be
abnormally low, resulting in no digital tuner signal.
CAUSE
Reversed polarity of IC7905 due to a production mistake.
SOLUTION
1. If the set is within the serial number range on the next page, checking the polarity of IC7905 is a MUST.
2. If the polarity is reversed, replace the IC7905, ensuring correct polarity.
