Hum Noise Coming from Panel 1145
SYMPTOM
With the set in customer mode (Home) and Picture in standard mode, the following may occur.
• When setting the backlight level to 5 (middle value), a clear noise is audible coming from the panel heat sink. In
some cases the cabinet frame may mechanically vibrate.
NOTE: By changing the backlight level, the noise level may vary.
• When the backlight is set to 10 (maximum), the noise disappears.
CAUSE
Vibrating panel lamps.
SOLUTION
Confirm whether the humming noise appears with the backlight set to level 5 and again disappears at level 10. If
this is the case, update the software using the file attached to Technical Bulletin 09TV040, and referring to
TB 09TV025 for the update procedure.
