Caution when Replacing EG-1L Panel – W Series
SYMPTOM
A new panel type (VE) has been introduced, being incompatible to the original one.
SOLUTION
• Always order the same panel as the one used in the set.
• However, if the original panel is out of stock, order a VE panel instead. For compatibility reasons, also the
Inverter Harness or IP5 board must be replaced in that case, and an EMI countermeasure must be applied.
1. Identify the panel type by the TV serial number and/or panel label.

2. Upgrade to the latest software version. Refer to Technical Bulletin 08TV025 for the upgrade procedure and
TT commands. Refer to TB 08TV038 for the latest software package and the precise NVM file to be used.
TWO ADDITIONAL STEPS WHEN CHANGING FROM ORIGINAL TO VE PANEL
3. Depending on the model, the Inverter Harness or IP5 board needs to be replaced.
