Serial Number Writing Support for AZ-1N Chassis [REVISION 1] 1721
SYMPTOM
No serial number after board exchange.
CAUSE
Generic serial number for service.
SOLUTION
Write the applicable serial number to the NVM using the TL3 jig. The serial number address in the NVM consists
of 4 bytes in hexadecimal format.
1. Apply “TT31”.
2. Extract the zip file attached to this Technical Bulletin, and run the "Code2.exe" file.

3. Make sure that the COM port baud rate is set to 115200.
4. In the main menu, open the "Analyzer" window: [TOOLS] => [ANALYZER].
5. Check the [Add Check Sum] box.
6. Refer to the info on the next page to determine the hexadecimal code.
7. Enter the converted code (for example “F3 00 11 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 1E 3C 01 09 3D 00”) in the
[Send Command] box to write the serial number, and press [SEND].
8. Apply “TT08”.
9. In the User menu, verify whether all information has been updated correctly.

Automatic Calculation
1. Calculate the hexadecimal code based on the serial number, for example using the Windows scientific
calculator. Enter the serial number (e.g. 4000001) and select [Hex] to have it converted to the hexadecimal code
(“3D 09 01” in the example).
