Software Upgrading Procedure for KLV-xxS550A Series [REVISION 1]
This Technical Bulletin describes the software upgrading procedure for the KLV-xxS550A series. An update may be
needed in case of replacing the panel or BT Main Board, or in case of software fixes.
PREPARATION
1. Download the appropriate software file attached to Technical Bulletin 10TV006 or 09TV100.
2. Take a USB Memory Stick and copy the SW file to its root directory.
3. Disconnect the AC cable.
UPGRADE PROCEDURE
1. Insert the USB stick.
2. Reconnect the AC cable. In case the TV was in Standby, also push the [Power] button.
3. If a valid file is found, the set automatically goes into Update mode. The green and red LED are ON and blink
with an interval of 500 ms.
IMPORTANT: During upgrading, neither power down, touch any key or remote commander button, nor remove the
USB stick, for the update will otherwise fail.
4. Automatic update of the NVM.
NOTE: The NVM will not be updated if the original version is equal to or higher than the one on the USB stick.
5. When the update is finished (after 5-10 minutes), disconnect the AC cable, remove the USB stick and reconnect
the AC cable.
6. Confirm the SW / NVM version.
