Subject: Sound delay on HDMI
SYMPTOM
On HDMI input, the sound is delayed while playing (PS3) video games or watching movies.
CAUSE
Higher decode time of Dolby Digital format audio signal from HDMI input.
SOLUTION
In the TV Home menu, change the settings as indicated below.
For playing video games: Change the audio output format from Dolby Digital to Linear PCM.
“Settings” => “Sound Settings” => “Audio Output Settings” => “HDMI” => Select "Manual" => Uncheck "Dolby Digital 5.1 ch" -> “Enter”.
For watching movies: “Settings” =>“Scene select” and switch from “Game” mode to “Cinema”.
