Subject: Compatibility update with Sony 4K media player (FMP-X5) [REVISION 2]
SYMPTOM
The unit is not able to play content from the Sony 4K Media Player (FMP-X5).
CAUSE
The “CX mount” from the unit does not support HDCP2.2 contents.
SOLUTION
1. Replace the “CX Mount” with below part.

2. Update the unit software to the PKG.3.407 (or later) by referring to 13TV013 for detailed procedure.
3. Update EDID / SPI firmware (see next page for detailed procedure).
Note: After replacing CX board to CX2 board Sound and Picture settings will be switched back to the factory
setting

EDID / SPI firmware update
1. Put the unit in service mode
Press [Display], [5], [Vol+] and [I/O]
2. Press [OPTION] to display the “CHASSIS SERVICE” menu.
3. Press [2] 4 times and [1] twice.
“RUN_EDID_SEQ” is set to “0”.
Press [3] to set the data to “1”.
4. Press [MUTE] and
5. Press [1].
“CHECK_SPI_FW” is set to “0”.
Press [3] to set the data to “1”.
6. Press [MUTE] and
7. Turn the unit OFF and remove the AC power plug.
8. Wait the unit start up and then turn it OFF/ON again to save the data.
9. Access to service mode again and confirm the “SYF” version as “0047”
