Subject: No sound when connected to Optical out [REVISION 1]
SYMPTOM
We have identified that, in combination with some AV amplifiers, there is no sound output to the amplifier when
using the SPDIF (optical) output.
CAUSE
Interference (jitter) on the SPDIF signal.
SOLUTION
Please advise the customer that Sony is working on a solution for this problem, and kindly suggest that for the time
being they can use other output methods (for example HDMI 1 (ARC) ) to connect their AV equipment to.
We apologise for any temporary inconvenience this may cause.
An updated main board will be available as of the 2nd half of March.
Replace the main board according to the part number info on next page
