SOLUTION
Update with the latest software version, by following the abridged procedure below.
NOTE: For full software procedure please check Service Manual 9-888-196-xx.
1. Download the ZIP file (see link), unzip it and copy the extracted file to the root of an empty USB stick.

2. Turn the unit ON.
3. Insert the USB memory into the USB port 1 located at the side of the unit.
4. Pull Out the AC plug and wait 10 second (considering the charge of AC adaptor).
5. Press the key located on the lower part of TV and hold it while inserting the AC plug.

6. Continue to hold the
key while confirming the LED status.
Amber LED blinking indicates that the SW Update is ongoing. IMPORTANT: During the firmware installation process, do not remove the USB device, switch off the TV set or remove the power.
7. After 1~2 minutes, the LED stops blinking and the TV will turn ON. If “SONY” appears on the screen and the LED turns ON in green, the software update succeeds.
8. Pull out the USB memory from the unit.
9. Confirm the SoftWare version
10. Change UART selection in Service Mode to ‘ NoLog’.
a. Go into service mode ( [ i ] > [ 5 ] > [ vol+ ] > [ TV POWER ]
b. Press [ DOWN ] key to select “UART Selection”.
c. Press [ RIGHT ] key 4 times to change from Factory No Log.
d. Press “ENTER” to select
e. Press [ POWER ] key to go to StandBy and leave Service Mode.
