Subject: TV is stuck during start-up with a stretched menu image
PROBLEM:
FY15 Sony Android TV 2K sets (GN1G chassis) running software version 3.155 may freeze up with a stretched menu image
during start-up, restricting the user from navigating to another screen. This symptom occurs when the TV set is immediately
switched on using the remote commander after re-inserting the TV’s power cord into an electrical socket.
SOLUTION:
To recover the TV set when the issue has occurred:
1- Unplug the power cord from the mains
2- Insert the power cord back into the mains
3- Wait for 2 minutes or more
4- Switch ON the TV via the remote commander
To prevent the issue from occurring:
Please update TV’s software to the latest version (3.179 or later.)
