Subject: Crackling Noise After Turning TV Off or On
SYMPTOM:
Customers may report a crackling noise (snapping, cracking, clicking, popping or ticking) coming from the TV set itself (not from the speakers) from time to time after the TV has been turned off and on.
SOLUTION:
This crackling sound is caused by a normal thermal expansion and contraction of the internal panel components during the warm-up or cooling phase. Please tell the customer that this type of noise is normal in an LCD TV and is not an indicator of a defect. Please do not arrange an AEP event for this issue.
