RM-ED053 is a suitable replacement for RM-ED050; however, please note some minor differences between these 2 remote commanders (see pictures at bottom):
Buttons present on RM-ED053 which are not available on RM-ED050:
Related Search button (to search for related content on Internet while watching content on the TV)
Title List button (to display the Title list)
Media button (to switch the category in the channel selection screen)
Buttons present on RM-ED050 which are not available on RM-ED053:
TrackID button (to search for info about music played on your TV, such as track name, artist information, etc.)
Seek Forward button (to skip to the next track or to quickly scan forward through a track on a connected device)
Seek Back button (to skip to the beginning of the current track or to skip to the beginning of the previous track or to quickly scan backwards through a track on a connected device)
Also the location of some buttons differs on both remote commanders:
Subtitle setting button is located at top left on RM-ED053 vs. lower right on RM-ED050
Audio button is located at top left on RM-ED053 vs. bottom right on RM-ED050
Screen Format button is located at lower left on RM-ED053 vs. top right on RM-ED050
