SYMPTOM
The latest software packages have been released, both enriching the set with additional features and remedying specific issues.
SOLUTION
Update with the latest software version, by following the abridged procedure below.
NOTE: For full software procedure please check Service Manual 9-888-724-0x.
1. Download the applicable file from the link mentioned in the header, unzip and copy the extracted file to the root of an empty USB stick. NOTE: Update to v8.414 or above can only be done if v8.233 or v8.235 is already installed.
If SW version in TV is older than v8.233 or v8.235, please download and install v8.235 first before you update to v8.414 or above. NOTE: Update from v8.233 to v8.235 is not needed and not possible.
2. Turn the unit ON.
3. Insert the USB memory into the USB port located at the side of the unit.
4. Go to USB update
Press [HOME], and select ‘Settings’ > ‘Customer Support’ > ‘Software Update’ > ‘USB’
5. A series of different messages will appear on the TV set. Please follow the on-screen instructions.
6. During System update, the LED indicator slowly flashing amber.
7. After several minutes, the Software update complete message displays. And the TV will turn off automatically and then turn back on to complete the update. IMPORTANT: During the firmware installation process, do not remove the USB device, switch off the TV set or remove the power.
8. After the TV turn on, safely remove your USB device from the USB slot
