Subject: Q206 (FET) Change on the DVI Module
Symptom: POP (Sub-Picture) Picture goes to snow while in the "split screen" mode when using RF inputs during the first 60 seconds after turn on. The problem disappears after approximately 60 seconds of operation. If the set is turned on for 60 seconds prior to entering the "split screen" mode the problem will not be evident. The picture cycles continuously between snow and the POP Picture during the first 60 seconds after turn on.
NOTE: Multiple Symptoms may be encountered with this failure, as this FET is located on a system control data line. For diagnostic purposes the technician may unplug P202 and P203 on the DVI Module for test. If the symptom experienced is resolved, Q206 or the DVI Module should be replaced.
Corrective Action: Replace FET Q206 on the DVI Module using Part Number 23205151 (BSN20). If a BSH111 is found in location Q206 it must be replaced with the 23205151 (BSN20) to correct the described symptom. See Fig. 1.
