Lines in pic when using 10-meter cable
Symptoms / Customer Description
When using the VMCP10 optional 10-meter interface cable that connects the media receiver unit to the plasma display lines appear in the picture.

Solution
We have had reports of Green, red, or blue lines appearing in the picture when using some
10-meter cables. The first batch of the VMCP10 cables that Sony received from the vendor may create this video problem. If this problem occurs please check the date code on the cable.
It is important to get the DATE CODE on the Box of VMCP10 (see attached JPEG).
All cables with a date code of SF-16L2 (manufactured on December 16, 2002) should be fine.
How to read DATE CODE:

* This cable manufactured on December 02, 2002. NOTE: There are after market cables available that will also display this problem. In that case, the customer should contact the store that they bought it from and receive a refund.
