Colored dots in pic when using 10-meter cable
Symptoms / Customer Description
I have colored dots in the picture which seem to come and go. Most noticable with dark scenes or no video displayed. Dots are mostly green. Customer has 10-meter cable connected between the MRU and display section.

Solution
Some after market 10-meter cables from vendors other than Sony produce a cable that may not be of high quality. These cables can produce video problems in the display. Typically, if the cable is not of good quality, red, green, or blue lines will appear in the picture.
If using the VMCP10 (10-meter cable) please pay special attention to which end of the cable is plugged into the MRU and which is plugged into the display section. Some of the cables are polarity sensitive and will be marked on the connector housing. If the cable is marked it will have Display or Receiver on the black or white connector housings.
Display = connect to the display section
Receiver = connect to the media receiver unit
If no markings are present the cable is not polarity sensitive and can be connected in either direction.
