Subject
No analog audio received after switching from digital station (INTERNAL)
Symptoms / Customer Description
Customer using receiver that detects analog and Optical audio. If switching from digital to analog station the receiver will not switch to Analog audio stays on Optical audio, and no audio is heard. If set turned off then on Analog audio is detected.
[Primary Symptom Code: 118X ]
Solution
This is normal. The circuit was changed due to requests from installers.
When the digital station is selected then changed to analog the Optical audio will remain ON and very little audio is received. It is enough for the receiver auto detect to detect it so remains on Optical, but no audio is heard, if speakers are turned off, or from the receiver. Set is working as designed.
3 Work a round suggestions:
1. Customer should select another receiver input to connect the analog audio.
2. Turn the TV speakers on, when on anolog station.
3. Turn TV off for 8 seconds then back on with analog station selected before turning off.
