6 Blinks Red LED
Symptoms / Customer Description
Red LED is blinking 6x
[Primary Symptom Code: 2111 ]
Solution
Tech found one of the circuits shorted off pins 9 and 10 CN4004.
Replacing the BE2 and G Board fixed the 6X error.
Suspect the G board went bad when the circuit on the BE2 board shorted.
From the Training Manual CTV-39
6X PFC Detect
The Power Factor Correction circuit on the G 1 board (not shown) generates the 380VDC for
the Lamp Driver board's). If this circuit fails (which will cause the voltage to drop to one-half
the correct level) the normally high voltage sent to pin 137 of IC8002 will go low and the unit
will turn off and display a sequence of 6 blinks on the POWER LED. See Block Diagram below.
