Cracking Sound
Symptom:
A cracking sound may be heard from certain mechanical parts.
Cause:
Shrinkage / expansion of plastic parts, mainly at the joint area between the rear cover and bezel.
Remedy:
1. Explain to the customer that the problem is due to the cause mentioned above. Keep on persuading if necessary.

2. Only if the customer is not satisfied with this explanation and urges a repair, apply the countermeasure indicated
below.
Adding unwoven cloth tape
2-1. Remove the rear cover from the TV.
2-2. Adhere pieces of unwoven cloth tape, as indicated below (Example for KDL-40HX800).

2-3. Make sure the joint rib between rear cover and bezel is not covered.
NOTE: Use line 1 in case problem is solved by simply explaining to customer. Use line 2 in case of actual repair.
