Subject : Colour noise in the dark scenes

Symptom / Intermittently a colour noise appears on dark areas of the screen.
Cause : Please see the pictures below for an example.
Remedy / Step 1: Upgrade the PEAKS software
Method : Step 2: Upgrade the Panel PDP DCC software
Preparation:
1. Obtain 2 SD Cards, one for use in step 1, one for use in step 2.
The card capacity must be between 128MB and 2GB and they should be standard speed.
2. Obtain a copy of the two different firmware versions - the PEAKS software (for Step 1),
and the Panel software (for Step 2) - from your usual service source.
3. Copy the compressed PEAKS software file to a computer and unzip the file.
4. Copy the SDDL file onto the root directory of SD Card 1 (for Step 1).
5. Copy the compressed Panel software file to a computer and unzip the file.
6. Copy the SDDL file onto the root directory of SD Card 2 (for Step 2).

- The progress bar will appear.
- The message "System initializing" will be displayed on the screen
- Wait whilst the TV set reboots (about 3 minutes) and the "default screen" is displayed.
1. Turn on the TV set.

4. When the message appears, remove SD Card 1 from the SD Card slot.
2. Insert the SD card 2, with the file prepared in step 6 above, into the SD Card slot.
- Do NOT remove SD Card 2 while the LED is flashing
- The panel will power down, and the red LED will start to flash.
5. Turn off the TV set.
