Hello
I have this device with a broken Tcon.
Identical device KDL-42W829B is available and when I take the Tcon, the orange and green LEDs flashed alternately.
Exactly when I swap the Main. According to Sony, there is no recovery software anymore. Maybe someone can make it available to me ??? For USB with instructions please.

Count the EEPROM chip in both T-con and compare the contents. You will understand the error.

Распаковываем архив.
1)Кладем папку  "sony_dtv0FA40A06A0A6_00003100" в корень флэшки.
2)Включаем телевизор в сеть, ждём 20 секунд.
3)Нажимаем кнопку power на телевизоре и вставляем флэшку.
 Ждём завершения процесса обновления.Примерно около десяти минут.

Thank you very much, the recovery helped. However, the device switches off after a short time and restarts. U701 M106-11 gets pretty hot on the Tcon. I exchanged it. Then there was a slight spark on the panel driver on the left. A COF tape is burned on.
Unfortunately, I can no longer get this repaired. So that's done.
