General Defective IC3002 was reported in the field. We inform you of the servicing procedure as follows.
Phenomenon 1) Frozen image with normal operation. (Not with Teletext)
2) Frozen image with black screen or coloured lines on screen.
(Refer to Fig.1 and Fig.2 in the next page.)
3) The image in "Dynamic" mode becomes darker and no recover. The active backlight does not work.
4) Backlight brightness is changing continuously, even in static images. The active backlight is working
without control.
5) Horizontal interferences/lines appear randomly at OSD. (Not OSD flickers)

Cause Defective IC3002 on the main unit. (The X-RAM inside VCTP malfunction.)
Servicing If the above phenomenon can not be cured with the latest software version, please replace the main unit
with new one.
(If the date code of the IC3002 on the main unit is 6277 or earlier, there is a possibility that the IC3002 is in
defective.)
For the replacement, please use the main unit that can be distinguished with either of the following methods.
• Check if the lot marking of the replacement main unit is “B37”.
• Check if the date code of IC3002 is 6278 or later.
